The only good thing about this week so far is that there's only 14 weeks of this pregnancy left!
The last two days have been tough. The lining in my throat tore open again and my stomach won't digest the blood so it's been coming back up. The worst thing about that is that every time it comes back up, it agitates the tear even more. I have to go have it looked at again tomorrow to see if it has gotten any better and if not there's a possibility they will have to go in and fix it. Just hoping it will heal itself up and I can get the sickness under control so it doesn't happen again. The last thing I want is surgery on my throat under local anesthesia while I'm pregnant.
On a better note, Riley is kicking the hell out of my ribs. I love it when he kicks me all day long because I love the knowledge of his life and health inside my belly. It feels silly when he hits me in two spots at once because I know he must be stretching out his whole body. It's also a relief that he hasn't been kicking my bladder anymore. That wasn't always fun - especially when I had to pee. It is strange sometimes though - he kicks me so hard that I feel like everyone must have seen my belly jump and I look around to see if anyone is staring at me. It's kinda funny.
I recently set my DVR up to record a show on Discovery Health called Amazing Births. I love it. My favorite part about the show is that the babies never die, but they're always fantastic stories. The acting is not the most convincing, but I love the stories. I also like to watch Deliver Me even though the babies don't always make it. I actually learn a lot about pregnancy from my hour a week with that show. Always on at 10 on Tuesdays incase you'd like to tune in.
So before I go retire myself to bed, my doctor told me to try fire balls to help with the nausea. Not that anyone who's been reading this is pregnant, but I'm going to try it and let you all know if it works or not. It has the potential of being a much more fun way to get rid of a yucky tummy than taking a little white pill that tastes horrible and has a reputation for coming back up.
Trying to keep my spirits up just until little Riley gets here!
