Thanks to everyone who was concerned since there have been no posts! I didn't realize so many people read this to keep up on Riley's progress and health! I appreciate all the love.
Riley and I are doing fine. In and out of sickness, but not nearly as horrible as it was at the beginning. I felt his first kick on March 24... it was amazing! For a few weeks before that I was pretty sure I was feeling some movement, but I was second guessing myself - convinced I was making it up in my head. But that Monday night I definitely felt a kick in the gut. Feeling him move around is my favorite thing that has happened so far in my pregnancy. For so long I was always so worried that he wasn't doing ok, but now that I can feel him move, I know he's alive and kicking - pretty hard I might add. I absolutely love it.
I decreased my hours at work from full time hours to part-time. It has had a huge impact on my health. I'm actually getting the sleep I need and the time I need in the mornings to get going. It also helps to have two extra hours a day to be off my feet. I also moved to a safer classroom where the kids aren't as aggressive and high maintenance. Vista has been wonderful to me... I'm so grateful for this job.
Riley has tons of adorable clothes thanks to friends and family. I will have to post pictures soon. He also has his first pair of shoes thanks to my mom and dad. I can't wait to see them on him! His crib is all set up and waiting. I still need to clean out his closet and find a way to make room for all the things he already has and is bound to get.
(I think Riley is glad I'm updating his blog - he's kicking me like crazy! Maybe it's just that he wants some icecream... yummm)
We switched OBGYN's from Hershey to Women's and Babies hospital which is part of Lancaster General. My first appointment there was absolutely amazing. They went through all of my records, and gave me a duffel bag full of information. They are going to be checking with my insurance to see if they'll cover another ultra sound. They weren't pleased with the records of my previous ones and would like to re-do them for themselves. We'll see what happens.
Here's to the next 15 weeks!
