33 weeks

Yeah, I'm definitely not the best at keeping up a blog. But I am good at keeping up with counting down... I'm finally in the single digits! Less than 7 weeks to go!

The last three weeks have consisted of a visit to Chicago, my brother's high school graduation, (go Brice!) a week long visit from my youngest brother and my mom, dog-sitting for our friends while they went on vacation, and finally a good housecleaning from top to bottom after everyone was gone. My house was trashed!

But as for baby news, I have none. I am down to doctor's appointments every two weeks now. Riley is moving around like crazy in there and causing much discomfort in the upper part of my abdomen. I'm pretty much uncomfortable most of the time, but can't complain because I haven't been sick lately. My belly is the correct size, and I'm slowly approaching my 30 lb weight gain limit, so I've been really trying to stick to eating enough, but as healthy as possible. Riley's heartbeat continues to be super strong and his heart rate is on point for his gestational age. Also, if you're pregnant or plan to become pregnant, Doug and I discovered a great gift for grandparents or family members. We went to build-a-bear and bought the recording mechanisms that you can put inside the bears and took them with us to a doctor's appointment. When they listened to the heartbeat, we recorded the heartbeat and then took them to the store and built them into bears. When you squeeze them, the baby's heartbeat plays. Riley's grandparents really loved them.

I have also finally discovered the answer to all my discomfort, nausea, and sadness... ICE!!! I love it. Something about the nerves on my tongue and the cold... if I don't have ice, I don't feel normal. I buy bag after bag =o)

That's about it as far as baby news. I will post a new belly picture soon. He really is growing - I never imagined I would be this big, and I've got two more months to get bigger! Oh joy.
