28 weeks

only 12 more to go! I can't wait to get to the single digits!

Nothing exciting has happened this week besides the fact that it has been extremely busy. My cousin's birthday happened, a baby shower happened, and we got my in-laws pool opened and ready to swim in (as soon as the water warms up).

I'm finding myself at the point now where I can't eat a small meal all at one time. Riley is taking up all the room in my belly and there's no place for the food to go - so I'm down to eating fist-sized portions about 4 or 5 times a day instead of meals. It's actually pretty hard to do because I'm usually really hungry for the food that everyone else is eating and it feels really good to eat. I find I'm regretting it an hour later when I can't sit in any position because my stomach is so full it feels like it's going to tear open. Then i get sick and that's no fun either.

I had my sugar test done last Thursday. Thank God, no gestational diebetes. I would have a really hard time giving up my carbs and sugars... they're one of the things that are getting me through this pregnancy! They did say my iron level is a little low so I've got to add some more iron to my vitamins... we all know what that does. No fun.

We are leaving for my brother's graduation in Chicago in less than two weeks. The plan was for me to fly out there and stay for a few days, but when I flew out to see my mom for mother's day, I was ungodly sick. So I decided I don't want to do that again. So Doug and I are going to drive out. I'm really excited for my brother. He's grown so much and become so mature. I can't wait to watch him graduate! He's really pulled it together with his grades these last two years, and it's so surreal that he's going off to college in the fall. Criminal justice - a really awesome field to pursue. I'm so proud!

Other than that, everything is going well. Riley is moving around in there like crazy. Doug enjoys messing with him and getting him to move. I enjoy getting decent rest because I know it's going to become harder and harder to sleep as Riley grows. Only 2 and a half months left! I can do this! I really can't wait to meet him.
