12 weeks, 3 days
I'm finally feeling better! I can honestly say I've never had such an emotionally crazy 4 weeks in my life! I've always heard that pregnancy makes you pretty emotional, but I guess you never understand how much so until you experience for yourself. I've had three vomit-free days so far, and I'm looking forward to so many more! I still don't have a baby belly yet, but I'm really not in too much of a hurry to get one considering I should be gaining about a pound a week from here on out.
Work was exhausting this week. I didn't start feeling too bad until I got home on Wednesday and slept all evening and through the night. Thursday was a struggle and today it seemed impossible to keep going. I've had a few people tell me that I should start feeling like my normal, energetic self around week 14 (only a week and a half away!) Other than that, back and joint pain, and the bowel problems, I've been pretty symptom free. We're planning a trip soon for some new shoes. I want to get some cute ones that will support my feet a little better and hopefully help with some of the back pain that is going to get worse as I gain weight. My pants are also starting to feel a tiny bit tight - especially by the end of the day when my tummy is all pumped up with unwanted substances. I've heard that the bellaband is one of the greatest inventions for early and late pregnancy, so I'm probably gonna need one of those in the next couple of weeks. It should allow me to button my pants in the morning, and then unbutton them in the afternoon without them falling off. I've decided the more money I can save on buying tons of maternity clothes, the more stuff I can buy for the nursery. I have expensive taste =o)
So plans for this weekend are basically grocery shopping and Suzy's birthday party tomorrow. I'm excited to get out of the house and socialize and feeling pretty lucky that I can sleep most of the day and not be too tired to go. I also absolutely can't wait to see little Samantha. It has been entirely too long since I've gotten to hold her. I'm sure she's probably grown so big!
So off to catch up on some TV i missed since I've been sleeping after work all week!
