14 weeks!

I've still been sick, but thank god my doctor is still prescribing me medication. 24 days left until our anatomy ultrasound and finding out the sex of the baby! I successfully predicted the gender of 4 babies before their parents knew, but I think my emotions are too involved to predict mine. I'm not afraid to say I have a gut feeling it's a boy though. I came up with a boy name that I really love, but have yet to convince Doug that he likes it. He said he's not counting it out, so that means I'll get my way =o)

I'm finally starting to feel normal hunger again. I'm still 4 pounds lighter than I was at my first pre-natal appointment and my doctor really wants me to start gaining weight. Unfortunately the days that I'm actually hungry above and beyond what I normally eat are few and far between. Then when I do eat a little extra I feel pretty sick. Seems like I can't win. They'll measure the circumference of my belly at my appointment on March 12 to make sure I'm growing like I should even though I haven't gained back the weight I lost when I was sick. Cross your fingers for me! I'm also excited to be able to record the heartbeat. We heard it at the last appointment but it was very faint and mine was still louder, so if I had recorded it, it would just sound like my heart.

I've been getting my registry set up with the help of my parents and some friends that just had their first baby girl. It's a little dose of reality when you start picking out some of the things you would never use if it weren't for having a baby. It will be so much more fun when I can actually pick out some of the gender-specific things I want... but obviously that will have to wait another 24 days.

This is a little late, so I'll be posting my 15 week stuff Wednesday or Thursday. Almost 4 months down! It's becoming more and more real everyday that there is a human with a separate heartbeat growing in my belly! So exciting!
